Nick Temple joins Hotelscene as non Executive Chairman |
Ownership and management team
Nick joined Hotelscene in 2004 and was appointed managing director in 2007. Previously he had worked for 15 years in the Travel Management arena where he co-owned a mid-size corporate travel company before selling it in a MBO. Nick went to the University of Denver and also attended the Business Growth Programme at Cranfield School of Management. He has a wealth of general management experience which he has applied in both expanding and contracting markets. He lives in Hampshire with his wife and 2 sons. He is a passionate supporter of Chelsea Football Club and enjoys other pastimes such as shooting, golf and cricket.
Nick Hurrell joined Hotelscene in 2007 and was appointed to the Board in January 2008. He started his career in Corporate Travel with HRG (then Hogg Robinson Travel) and held various management positions including Director of Business Development.
Nick’s experience in dealing with both UK and Multinational organisations has lead to a sound understanding of client needs, and he is well qualified to compare the abilities of traditional travel management companies with the current trend towards more specialist corporate operators.
Nick is married with two children and lives in Hampshire. Away from work, Nick is involved with a local amateur dramatic society and runs a motorsport team.
Nick Temple joined Hotelscene as non Executive Chairman in February 2008.
He enjoyed a distinguished career at IBM spanning more than 30 years, becoming CEO of IBM UK before leaving in 1995.
He currently serves as either a non-executive director or chairman of several companies, mainly in the technology sector, that include Datatec plc, Datacash plc, FoxIT, Capula, and 4imprint plc.
